Oooohhh… Hello Ladies!
Brooklyn based painter Jonathan Viner‘s works primarily with oils to create these beauties. Painted with perfect skill, these ladies are young, they are beautiful and they are cool. What more could you want to look at really?
But ladies, don’t worry. Viner has got something for everyone! Though not as lush and glamorous as his female muses, his man do have a quiet coolness about them that we could even call sexy… I mean, who doesn’t like a guy with a kitty or, on the more surreal side, a hipster standing on a sofa with a yellow painting? Excellent!
Limited edition prints are available on the artist’s online shop.

I wanted to write a special art post today to celebrate mother’s day with something of spectacular beauty. So I thought it was the perfect opportunity to share the work of Russian fine art photographer Katerina Plotnikova.
While this young photographer may modestly describe her own work as ‘another tale about wonderland’, I for one believe these are by far some of the most beautiful photographs I have ever seen. These wonderful dreamlike images portray beautiful heroines and wild animals, gently living in a world between reality and an ethereal fairytale.
Katerina Plotnikova’s work is available for sale at 500 px where you can chose from a large number of her mesmerizing pictures, one more stunning than the other.

I get so excited when I see good art made popular that it’s actually quite funny!
This time is Surface View, a UK based Interior Design company that prints incredibly beautiful images in various supports, from prints & canvases to home decor items such as lamp shades and window films. You can chose from various collections, presenting a wide range of carefully curated images in 5 categories: Galleries & Museums, Photography, Classic Graphic Arts, Designers & Collaborators and, my personal favorite, Vintage Archives. I’ve worked with them a couple of times and I was very pleased with the quality of the prints and the excellent customer service.
Their newest addition is the work of American Photographer Slim Aarons, best known for his photographs of jet-setters and socialites. This amazing collection of twentieth century luxury images includes gems such as the portrait of Louis Armstrong chomping down some spaghetti, Italian mafioso Lucky Luciano having a coffee in Brooklyn and many many more brilliant pictures of garden parties and ski holidays of the rich and famous. Definitely worth checking it out!
Oh how much I love love LOVE the light-hearted, all around hilarious, artwork by Kelly Puissegur!!!
Inspired by day-to-day random oddities, the work by this LA based artist is an impressive collection of skillfully made humorous paintings, illustrations and collages. With blasé tigers, strange creatures wearing animal masks, animals doing the robot-dance or titty-twisting, her work is an explosion of alluring creative madness and witty punchlines.
Kelly Puissegur’s work is so enjoyable that I got sidetracked completely and now ended up publishing this hours late!!! Oops…
You can see more of Kelly’s fantastic work on her website Retro Whale. And to brighten up your everyday as well, you can buy prints for your walls at the artist’s Etsy Shop, and original artwork are also available at Saatchi Online.

I just recently stumbled upon this amazing collage of a dinosaur eating children while happy 1950’s families and children went about their business. After a little research and I was pleasantly surprised to find the poetic work of not only one amazing artist, but two. LA based photographers Ashlie and Amber Chavez are two twin sisters who work strictly as a team to produce incredibly personal work, with their “abnormally close relationship as twins” as centerpiece.
Now the best news is that Ashlie has an online shop Art For Your Walls where she sells high quality reproductions of her collage work and photographs. Definitely worth checking out!
